Free Range White Turkeys
This year we have reared our white turkeys in a free range environment, rather than using large barns as we’ve done in the past. As with all our other free range poultry this provides the white turkeys with the chance to not only exercise their muscles significantly more but also to prosper from the natural diet they obtain from having access to the outdoors.
The majority of our customers tend to chose a white turkey over a bronze because of the more subdued ‘gamey’ flavour; this combined with the opportunity for the white turkeys to stretch their legs outside and develop an optimum fat: muscle ratio combines to create a white turkey that is succulent, juicy and full of flavour with just a hint of game.
As with all our poultry, we rear the white turkeys on the farm from chicks.
